Vedic Horoscope is composed of 12 Signs (or Rasis) distributed across 12 Houses (or Bhavas). The natural 1st House is rules by Aries (the 1st Rasi). The 2nd House by Taurus (the 2nd Rasi) and so on. In Vedic Chart, 1st House also corresponds with the Ascendent (Lagna) and this can be any Rasi. Depending on the date, time and location of birth, a native can have 1st House in Sagittarius, which means that 2nd House will be in Capricorn, 3rd House will be in Aquarius etc. Rasis always respect the same consecutive order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.
