Short Study on Kumbha Rashi and Jupiter as the Eye of Ketu

In classical texts, Kumbha is given the quality of “Vayu Tattwa” – Air sign (due to Saturn as a

Vata Graha) – however, when we get deeper into this analysis we discover a much more complex Nature of

Kumbha Rashi, caused by the following factors marked by the Presence of Rahu in this exceptionally fascinating mechanism:

(1) Rahu is the Co-ruler of Kumbha and may have Any Tattwa, at different Times, with a

particular and continuous power to process Water (storage of Karma). Rashi Drishti of Kumbha gives us the answers referring to the Powers of Rahu in this Architecture of the Natural H11. Kumbha is connected through Rashi Drishti to the following:

(2.1) Natural H1 -> Aries, Agni Tattwa, Moveable Fire resulted from the First Spark of Life/Jeeva/Brihaspati crossing the Border between Superior Visible to Lower Invisible Worlds (from Satya Loka to Atala) giving a new Programming (“software” also named Gotra in ancient scriptures) in view of building a new Moveable Material Form of the Soul/ new human moveable/living body on this planet, ruled by the Law of Speed *S= Distance divided by Time. *This is the Moment (Time) when the Father (element of Time, Shani) becomes “pregnant” for 3 months (in Spirit) before the Mother takes the Material (Distance) mission for the next 9 months.

(2.2) Natural H4 -> Cancer, Jala Tattwa, Moveable Water, The 7 Narkas, the Talatala (“the hell of the hells”) or the Storage of Karma, or the Genetic Pool, Inheritance through Mother Side (through Distance).

(2.3) Natural H7 -> Libra, Vayu Tattwa, Moveable Air, the Architecture of Fertility crossing the Border from the Superior Invisible World Patala into the Lower Visible World named Bhu Loka. This is the Distance where the Mother received the Transfer of Gotra into the Material World, becoming physically pregnant. Patala represents the Ultimate Equal Distance (Omega Symbol represents an Ending of a Cycle) between Swarga Loka ruled by Venus and Bhu Loka ruled by Mars, meeting in Scorpio (Architecture connecting Bhu Loka and Bhuva Loka). Therefore, the first part of Natural H7 had been declared to be ruled by Venus, through Libra structure – however the Connection between Libra and Scorpio more relevant into showing the How life appears on Earth, on a material plane.

(2) Going back to Kumbha: ruled by Shani and Rahu -> this means that Natural H5 (Leo) must be ruled by Sun and Ketu (where Magha Nakshatra – ruled by Ketu - seats!) and in this context Kumbha in any chart will show what are the main Oppositions/ struggles in life, for the Native. This is also reconfirmed by the fact that Kumbha seats 8th from Cancer (the storage of natal karma).

(3) We take Kumbha in any chart and measure clockwise the Arc between Natal Rahu and Kumbha – to discover the main areas affected by the karmic inheritance provided in Cancer. The next levels of analysis consist in comparative study provided by the superimposing, on the First Arc, of the Arc of Transit Rahu until Natal Moon, then Transit Rahu until Transit Moon, Transit Rahu until Dasha/ Antar-Dasha Lord, until AK, combined with the effects/conjunctions/aspects of other Grahas etc.

(4) Coming back to Ketu -> We know that “Ketu has no head” and Jupiter is His Eye. Ketu is The Tail of the Dragon however this “tail” has been regarded, many times, as a rather passive, detached object. Research reveals that “The Tail” acts as a “pusher” or “emission antenna” of Karmic Data from the bhava where it is located in Rashi Kundli, towards the bhava where Rahu seats and Manifests in Material world, through translation and adaptation to material environment. In Natural Chart, Ketu seats in Leo/Magha (at the border between Rasatala and Mahatala) “pushing data-sets” from the Genetic Pool / Ancestors-Masculine Lineage (as opposed to Cancer the residence of Karmic Data from Feminine Lineage). To identify this individual Area of Emission we count from Natal Ketu location clockwise until the natal location of Leo/Magha point.

(5) Jupiter as The Eye of Ketu shows the Hot Spot of your Karmic Source – therefore we may study, rationally and with great clarity, why so many books are contradictory when it comes to the exaltation of Jupiter. Some authors are sure to say Jupiter is exalted in Aquarius, while other authors are sure to declare Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. What this author found is that both possibilities apply, depending on the individual chart! On top of that, a third possibility exists, and in the following lines we explain why: (5.1.) If Ketu seats in Water sign (Pisces – the Karma Storage of the World or in Cancer – the Individ’s Karma Storage) then Jupiter in that chart gets exalted in Cancer – since The Eye has The View in the established Jala Tattwa, therefore is an Eye that can See and provide Wisdom in this shallow world from the deep, non-shallow Source. And we also know that Ketu for this world is a Watery planet, it deals with Scorpio Environment/ re-birth (blood creation) from ash (fire). The power of Ketu between Fire and Water is also seen in the invisible half of the Universal Chart, ruling the Gandanta between Cancer and Leo, more precisely between Ashlesha and Magha. So, Ketu is very clearly powerful between Fire and Water. Which naturally makes Rahu very powerful between Air and Earth. That is the reason why Rahu “feels good” in Earth signs, particularly in Virgo where he is exalted, and that is why Ketu is exalted in Pisces and Jupiter extra- exalted in Cancer. If the Individual Karma House (Cancer) is full with “toxic material” it becomes obvious why some Jupiter exaltation is perceived as disastrous in some individual’s life stories. Exaltation of Jupiter does not mean “comfortable effects” by default, but it means the speedy manifestation of What is There to be Manifested. In such a case, where Cancer is “full of toxic material” the main remedy is to “re-place Jupiter in Capricorn”(where Jupiter gets debilitated). However, depending of the bhava and other influences, this kind of remedy can provide effective just for a while.

(5.2.) If Ketu seats in Earth Sign then Jupiter will get exalted in Fire sign – with potential to give “an Evil King.”

(5.3) If Ketu seats in Air sign then Jupiter gets more active and even exalted in Earth sign (such as Capricorn) – with great potential to produce a successful businessman, if L1, L10 and AK support.

(5.4) If Ketu seats in Fire sign then Jupiter gets more active/ even exalted in Water sign (Jupiter becoming the guru of Rahu) – with great potential to achieve Moksha and/or make a Good King, if L1, L10 and AK support.
